The RVIC Garage is an open innovation, co-working space where emerging technology companies connect with community and university innovators and entrepreneurs.
A Landing Zone and Open Innovation, Co-Working Space
The Garage supports the Research Valley’s expanding innovation ecosystem by providing a landing zone and open innovation, co-working space for emerging technology companies. Funded by Texas A&M University with support from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, the Garage offers 1,779 square feet of space in the Texas A&M Institute for Preclinical Studies (TIPS) building, including a private office, a panel of business desks in an open studio setting, private prototyping and test bay workspaces and an innovation lounge with an “old school” chalk board for brainstorming.
The Garage provides an attractive, creative environment where emerging technology companies in the Research Valley as well as those located outside the area can become connected to community-university technology commercialization stakeholders. Membership fees are monthly and are based on company type. Free wireless Internet is provided and each company is allocated one University parking pass.
